Though wounded, Argus rushed back to Mt. Barbone with the urgency to protect Stacia. His mind refused to let him rest and he was haunted by his failure of not killing Sirus when he had the opportunity. He finally arrived, battered and weak.

Stacia dashed to Argus when she saw that he had arrived. He struggled with the emotions that he fought so hard to suppress but his heart overflowed with love the instant he saw her. Noticing his wounds, she passed her hands over Argus’ injuries, and instantly felt Sirus’ anger, as if it were a message delivered to her through Argus’ bleeding wounds. A powerful energy was felt while cleaning his cuts, along with the realization that Argus was her soul mate. This confused Stacia, as she had never before felt this way with anyone. Cautiously, her eyes slowly rose and she blushed when she saw that he had been watching her. Stacia tried to turn away, but Argus gently held her face in the warmth of his strong, calloused hands. Looking deep into her blue eyes Argus whispered, “I feel it too, Stacia.” Although he attempted to stay true to his sworn calling as a Benevolent Knight of the Lyte, he made the choice to break the oath of celibacy that he was sworn to uphold. Succumbing to the pleasures of the flesh, he and Stacia become one in body and soul. Argus took comfort in his faith and sought wisdom from the Lyte to guide him in what needed to be done. A calming force quietly washed over him, comforting his tormented soul at the revelation that the path he must then take was to protect Stacia.

Argus never regretted the choice he made and it was with great joy, some months later that Stacia gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. When the time came to name the children the boy was named after strength like his father and the girl named wisdom after Stacia.

Although Argus’ love for Stacia was known throughout the Knighthood, no one would dare question his faith and beliefs. There were a select few however, who knew the extent of the love that Argus and Stacia shared.  Rajnish, a high priest of the Lyte, was one of them.

Many years before, when Rajnish was just a young protégé of the Lyte, he had been one of the two monks who had found and raised Stacia. Rajnish was also the one who alerted the Knights of the Lyte that a child bearing the mark of the 13th Prophecy existed. Now Rajnish was forced to watch as Argus and Stacia carried on in an unholy relationship that seemed to flourish without consequence, and he began to resent that Argus was able to taste the pleasures of the flesh and still remain a member in good standing throughout the Lyte.

As time passed, Rajnish began to question his own faith yet he continued to willingly help Argus and Stacia care for their children under the cloak of secrecy. Witnessing the joy and love that grew stronger every day filling the souls of both Argus and Stacia, Rajnish began to realize that he had devoted his entire life to the Lyte yet it had never filled him with the joy that they were experiencing. On a daily basis their disgraceful union was flaunted before him and a bitter seed of jealousy began to take root and spread like a cancerous growth. Rajnish was consumed with resentment and began to despise Argus for violating his vows of purity.  He was patient to bide his time for the right opportunity to bring Argus down for his transgressions.
