By her 5th year, Stacia possessed intelligence and awareness beyond compare and it was clear to the monk’s that she would somehow play a crucial role in the 13th Prophecy. She was uncompromisingly beautiful with skin like silken roses, eyes as blue as the ocean after a storm, and long, flowing, ringlets of red hair. Although a loving child with a mild and compassionate disposition, Stacia was touched by an evil that manifested itself in the form of episodes, trances, and knowledge that she could not have acquired in the solitude of Mt. Barbone.

For years, Stacia felt the existence of her twin brother, but out of respect for the love and care she received from the monks she never mentioned it to them. It was during several episodes or trance-like states that she and her brother were both able to “feel” each other’s presence.

The monk’s received clues of the existence of a male counterpart.  Over the years, numerous drawings by Stacia had been saved. The monks studied these drawings in an effort to interpret her dreams and her possible connection to the 13th Prophecy. Stacia had also developed an unlikely interest in pumpkins. In several of her drawings, and also in her dreams, she could see their ominous grins and expressions in great numbers. The bond between Stacia and her brother was becoming stronger as they both grew and matured. The monks began to realize that it was no longer prudent to keep the child a secret and sent for the assistance of the Knights of the Lyte.

One of the most respected and revered knights was a young man named Argus, which means “bright and watchful.” Even at a young age he already held a seat at the Table of Brilliance, where only the strongest and wisest knights gathered to collaborate. Argus was one of the highest orders of the Knights of the Lyte and was a skilled warrior and leader. His strength, courage, wisdom, and devotion were beyond compare and it became clear to all in this discreet brotherhood that he was the chosen one to lead the Lyte to victory over the Dark.  Only a select few knew that Argus bore the mark of the 13th Prophecy.

After receiving word from the monks of a child bearing the mark of the 13th Prophecy, Argus and members of the Knights of the Lyte set out for Mt. Barbone. The news of the other child described in the Prophecy was something that Argus had been anticipating for quite some time. When Argus saw Stacia for the first time, he was both confused and captivated by her. Not only by her stunning beauty, but also by something much deeper. An inner force that only Argus and Stacia understood was drawing them closer in a destiny only they could fulfill. After spending much time with her he discovered that she may have a twin brother and that she somehow plays an integral part of the 13th Prophecy. Argus was troubled by this unexpected turn of events. Concerned that feelings for her may weaken and even threaten the oath that he took with the Lyte, he contemplated killing her, but could not bring himself to destroy her. Argus continues to struggle even further with his growing feelings as he came to realize that it is she who would lead him to the chosen one of the Dark.

The Prophecy stated that the child bearing the mark of the Unholy Trinity must be executed before adolescence, or the reign of evil would triumph. Argus informed the others that there was little time to waste. Stacia and her twin being 12 years old, clearly suggested that time was of the essence.

Argus immediately confered with his closest men and prepared to launch a crusade to find her brother. They realized it was no longer safe for Stacia to remain unprotected with the monks. Argus appointed the strongest Knights of the Lyte to stay back and remain at Mt. Barbone to protect Stacia during his absence. Because of her bond with her brother, Argus kept the mission a secret from Stacia, so that his adversary would not sense that something was not right. His journey was long and lonely, and Argus found his thoughts drifting toward Stacia as he yearned to have her by his side. These feelings became stronger as the time and distance between them increased.
